Why Learning (itself) is not what you think it is...

Here I uncover the #1 mental model you've overlooked your entire life...

People always ask me how I had to read 3 full morning books just to wake up early…

The real reason is because I was SO bad at being a morning person that,

JUST in order to wake up early—

I had to learn so many benefits of waking up in the morning that it’d be unreasonable my behavior wouldn’t change.

Most people don’t understand why it worked… which is why I’m writing this:

Learning is not what you think it is…

Learning is not picking up some new idea & adding it to your psyche (the collection of information you can use later).

Learning is:

Same condition.

Different behavior.

That means if you read this entire newsletter—

and your behavior doesn’t change,

you’ve learned nothing.

This mental model is unbelievably powerful in terms of capitalizing on its compounding nature.

Why?

Because, assuming you internalized this very definition and made it a habit,

EVERY single time you’d come across new beneficial information,

you’d actively change your behavior.

Just for perspective,

If every time you learned something & your behavior changed,

You’d immediately be one of the greatest thinkers (and doers) on the planet within 6 months.

Why?

Because you’d be learning better,

and BETTER is leverage.

How?

Leverage means you get out more for what you put in, right?

That means if you learn better (change your behavior more), you’d get MORE out of what you’re exposed to.

You’d, in consequence, iterate so much it’d be unreasonable you’d become your ideal self within months.

On top of that,

Learning, unlike 99% of wordly phenomena, compounds.

That means you’d be increasing your intellectual potential by an inexplicably high multiplicity…

And what that does is that makes it unreasonable that you wouldn’t be where you want to be in 6 months.

This very mental model is the pinnacle of unparalleled growth.

And one that nobody else is equipped with.

So then

Do what must be done.

Leverage it.

Make changing your behavior a habit.

Because otherwise, you’re learning nothing.

See ya next week!

P.S., the only way this grows is through word-of-mouth,

So if you know of 1 or 2 people who need to hear this,

Send it their way.

Never know, it might just change the world of someone else.
